Human/Table Foods that Dogs Can Eat

Shrimp – Can dogs eat shrimp? Yes, but only inĀ small amounts occasionally. Why can’t they eat it on a regular basis? It’s because this tasty human food has high amounts of cholesterol in it, which is not the best for your dog. But shrimp also have antioxidants in them, which are good for dogs. Shrimp are also low in fat, calories, and carbohydrates. Your dog shouldn’t eat shrimp very often, but once in a while, it can be a nice little treat.

Peanut Butter – Dogs can eat peanut butter, but only if it is unsalted! Salted peanut butter may contain xylitol, which is toxic to dogs. Peanut butter contains healthy fats that dogs can eat.

Eggs – Eggs are okay for dogs to eat as long as you cook the egg first. They are a great source of protein. However, my own Labrador R2 got an upset stomach/diarrhea from eating eggs and broccoli.

Carrots – Yep! Carrots are great for developing a puppy’s teeth and have Vitamin A as well.
